OUR INSTALL PROCESS

- There's much to know about how epoxy should be installed, including time restraints and waiting periods between coats. Not only is it important to factor this in when selecting an appropriate installer but it is also a good reminder of what you need to do prior to install and any storage arrangements you need to make. See below for more information on our process.

day 1
day 1
Task 1 - GRINDING:
Full concrete grinding including all edges to cut a thin top layer of concrete off and scuff the surface back for the 1st primer coat.
Task 2 - CONCRETE REPAIR:
All cracks, holes, divots and uneven imperfections are filled using a clear Epoxy resin and ceramic mix. (Min 4hr curing time).

Task 3 - SANDING / GRINDING
All areas patched on day 1 using the clear Epoxy and ceramic mix are then sanded back smooth to ensure a seamless finish is achieved.
Task 4 - FIRST COAT / PRIMER
A plain coat of tinted epoxy is applied over the entire surface which will be absorbed into the concrete preparing it for the second coat and flakes. (24hr curing time time).

Task 5 - SECOND COAT
Prior to the second coat being applied any high spots and or imperfections are touched up and repaired and then the second coat of tinted epoxy is applied.
Task 6 - FLAKE APPLICATION
Chosen flake System is then applied to entire surface of coated floor consistently to ensure there are no gaps. (24hr drying time

Task 7 - UV STABILISED CLEAR*
6.1 - All excess, sharp and loose flakes that were applied the day before are now scraped away using a large metal blade.
6.2 - 2 UV stabilised clear coats are now applied wet on wet and back rolled multiple times to achieve a flawless finish. (If anti-slip finish was required this would be mixed into the second coat of clear)
* If Hyperflake is being installed a Clear Epoxy Glaze is applied on Day 4 and then 1 UV Stabilised Clear coat is applied on Day 5)

Once your floor has been transformed and clear coats applied you must allow 24hrs before walking on and 5 to 7 days for the epoxy to cure fully before driving on or transporting heavy items across.
